About the Department

The Soil Resource and Watershed Management Department at Woldia University, Mersa Campus, was established to address the pressing need for sustainable management of soil and water resources in Ethiopia. Recognizing the critical role of these resources in agricultural productivity, environmental conservation, and socio-economic development, the department aims to produce highly skilled professionals equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to tackle challenges related to soil degradation, water scarcity, and watershed management.
