The College of Agricultural Sciences was established in 2012 in Mersa Town, 30 kilometers from the main campus in Woldia. It offers six undergraduate and six postgraduate programs.

The college has 5 highly standardized farms for teaching, research, and income generation. The farms include dairy farm, beef farm, poultry farm, sheep and goat farm, fish farm and one abattoir. It is doing significant steps in forage, fruit, and vegetable production.
